The Disney Afternoon Collection has arrived!
Nostalgic gamers and inner children alike rejoice as Disney is coming to once again rescue you from the depths of boredom.
There are truly few companies that have had more of an impact on children around the world than Disney, and for those of us old enough to remember it, there were few gaming consoles that were as mind blowing (at the time) than the NES.
So it should go without saying that any time these two icons are involved, magic happens.
With that being said earlier in the week it was announced by Capcom that they would be releasing The Disney Afternoon Collection.
A rerelease of six classic Disney NES games including, Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers, Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers 2, Darkwing Duck, DuckTales, DuckTales and Talespin.
The collection boasts full 1080p HD visuals, along with a filter option, which allows players to recreate the classic CRT feel and will also feature a heap of additional content including artwork and music.
Keeping in mind how challenging old school platform games used to be, The Collection also comes with a rewind mode which gives players a second chance for when you inevitably die by falling down a hole (probably for the 100th time).
The official release date has been set as the 18th of April, 2017. However at the moment the collection will only be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC.
This fact has left Nintendo Switch fans a little red faced, especially when you consider the fact that all these games were originally Nintendo titles.
Love it or hate it, chances are The Disney Afternoon Collection is going to be a huge hit. Pick it up when it drops from online stores for US$20.
