The newest masculine fragrance by Prada is inspired by and named after their own American Cup competition sailing boat, Luna Rossa, meaning Red Moon.
The opening is somewhat aquatic and fresh however it also conveys strength and dynamic energy. The effect is both intimate and avant-garde, representing the beauty and power of nature pushed to the extreme.
Luna Rossa contains a number of traditional ingredients such as Lavender which mimics the spirit of vast open spaces and the taste of adventure. Bitter Orange and Spearmint is added to give the Lavender an entirely new dimension that is more bitter-fresh and energising. The underpinnings of Ambroxan and Ambrette create a woody signature which is nobel and sensual.
Prada Luna Rossa is enclosed in a sleek and dynamic bottle which was inspired by the innovation of modern sailing vessels. The bottle perfectly projects the power of the elements through the materials used and the design.
Luna Rossa was created by master perfumer, Daniela Andrier, who looked to the values at the heart of extreme sailing and successfully captured the spirit of passion, innovation, strength, adventure and most of all agility.
